Jedson Black Beaty LP vs. Ibanez Black Beauty LP

Here I compare details of my Jedson "Black Beauty" LP with the same details of an Ibanez branded "Balck Beauty" LP.

Notice the strange Univox top hat knobs. Tailpiece may have been changed and PUs are not original.

Same strange Univox top hat knobs. Both tailpiece and PUs look original. Binding is the same on both instruments.

Notice the way the binding meets the neck binding in an angle. Tuners are not original.

"Steel Adjustable Neck", "Made in Japan",serial #

Just "Made in Japan". But my Ibanez double-neck has one of each.
The details of the Ibanez (and the Jedson) seem to match the 2350 guitar of Ibanez catalogues from 1971-73 - particularly the fretboard inlays that stop ater 17th fret, and the rounded edges at end of the fretboard. In 1973 the fretboard gets inlays all the way up, and the end of the fretboard gets squarer. None of the catalogues have the strange golden top hat knobs though. Maybe these knobs are an even older feature, and these guitars are as old as 1970.
This is the catalogue entry of 1971::
