Roland JX-10 Polyphonic Synthesizer.
Rolands last big analog polyphonic synthesizer. I needed something to cover
the grounds of the Prophet-5. Something with cross-modulation, hard sync and
polyphony. Preferably something analog.
When I heard about the Roland JX-10 I knew this would be the synth for me. An absolutely best buy analog synth, with a staggering 24 oscillators to play with. It's a dual JX-8P, with a few extra bells and whistles. This synth does not sound nearly as agressive as the Prophet-5. The filters are not in the same league. But it excels in superior pad and string sounds, and it does make some mean hard sync and cross-mod sounds too. Best thing is that it is surprisingly cheap. I also found a PG-800 controller for it, making it a center piece of my setup.
