JBX ET-520 Tape Echo Machine

Strange machine indeed, but I've found out that the basic machine is built in Japan, and has been marketed under several different names, such as:
Internally and constructionwise all these machines are identical, so my assumption is that this is yet another japanese OEM product being labelled for different companies. This was a very common practice during the 70'ies, when Japan was a main manufacturer of all sorts of musical instruments, built for other companies. The same practice was used for guitars and stomp boxes.
This tape echo machine is sturdily built, and it sounds good. Six settings, combining the tape heads in different combinations, and capable of feedback tape loops. The motor is a variable speed motor from Sankyo, and someone reckognized the letters "H2NL0 71201-B" on his motor, in case this is helpful for anyone else trying to fix their machine.
Mine had a rubber drive belt that eventually gave in, but I was able to replace it with another, and now the machine runs steady again.
